Away Status - Graduate students pursuing their studies outside of the Houston area (Graduate students on "away" status) must be registered and pay tuition but are not required to pay the fees listed above, with the exception of the Information Technology Fee ($62.50/sem.).
Reduced Tuition - After six semesters of full-time study in 1 degree program (excluding the summer semesters), continuing students are eligible for a reduced tuition rate. A semester of full-time study is defined as a fall or spring semester in which at least 9 hours of credit are earned. The reduced rate, like standard rate, varies by department/program.
