Students Seeking Readmission

For students seeking readmission from the Dean of Undergraduates, a detailed academic plan (.DOC) must be completed and approved by the Office of Academic Advising in advance of the deadlines for submission of materials. All materials must be submitted prior to December 1 (for readmission in the spring semester) or July 1 (for readmission in the fall semester). For more details regarding the readmission process, please contact the Office of the Dean of Undergraduates (4997). Due to the number of students seeking readmission each semester and the necessary detail involved, it is requested that each student contacts academic advising (4060) and submits a plan well in advance of the deadlines.

When contacting the Office of Academic Advising by phone (4060), each student should indicate the following:

1. Status as a student seeking readmission
2. Matriculation term (first semester at Rice)
3. Last semester at Rice
4. Rice e-mail
5. Non-Rice e-mail (if appropriate)
6. Phone number
7. Whether you would like an appointment or circumstances necessitate e-mail correspondence and why (e.g., work, travel, job, etc.)
